Relaxation Technique to Increase Libido for Women

Relaxation Technique to Increase Libido for Women

Article by Simi S

Libido is a desire–a passion–that many women seek, but few actually feel satisfied with the level they are currently at. Stress, low energy levels, depression, anxiety and low circulation all lower the level of a person’s sex drive. Libido is considered to be a potential energy rather than active energy because of its naturally latent state, but it can be aroused by certain types of stimuli. Using relaxation techniques will help to prepare the mind and body for this powerful energy and will lead to a more satisfying intimate relationship.

Identifying OriginsIf you are feeling stressed, unhappy with your relationship, rejected, disrespected, unloved, lacking in romance, lack of trust, feeling resentment or if you aren’t feeling good about yourself and your body, it will put a damper on your sex life. Look at the current situation of your relationship. If there are issues there, it might be manifesting by lowering your libido. Recognizing the root of the problem will help to release it and open yourself up to reclaim the libido that is rightfully yours.

Set the MoodWomen are sexually inspired by different things than men are. Relaxation and meditation will help to calm the body and mind to become more open to sexual energy and stimulation. After you have prepared your body and mind on that level, you are free to set the mood and allow your body to respond accordingly. Candles, A glass of wine, music–whatever makes you happy. Avoid overindulgence of alcohol and smoking, though, which constricts blood flow and oxygen that is needed to keep the genitals responsive.

Exercise 1Close your eyes and take in a few deep breaths. Pull as much air in as you can, feel your belly fill and rise, hold it and slowly let it out. Keep doing this for a few minutes. Feel the extra boost of oxygen circulating through your body. With every deep breath in, imagine all your stress and anxieties pooling, and then releasing itself out of the body with the exhale.

Exercise 2With your eyes still closed, remember the last great sexual experience you had. Remember how you felt and what turned you on in that situation. If you don’t have a good reference, image one. Be creative, incorporating anything that you would like to happen; the sky is the limit.

Exercise 3To balance your sexual energy and clear your mind, sit on the ground, cross legged or sitting with your legs bent below your butt. Stretch your arms in front of you with your fingers interlaced. Bring your attention to your forehead. Raise your arms directly above your head, inhaling as you lean back slightly. Exhale as you lean forward slightly. Do this exercise for a few minutes. You should feel more relaxed and grounded, feeling more aware of your body and ready to truly experience physical stimulation.

Exercise 4To stimulate the energy at the base of your spine and genital region, sit on the floor, left leg straight in front of you, the right leg bent with the foot crossed over to the outer side of the left leg. Bend the left arm and place it on the outer side of the right leg. Keep your shoulders parallel, lift your spine and slowly rotate to the right. Hold for 10 seconds and release. Switch and do the other side. This should open up the energy channel there and help boost arousal.

Exercise 5To relax the inner thighs and hips, sit on the floor with your spine straight, knees bent, the soles of the feet together in front of you while you gently grasp your ankles. Inhale deeply, hold and exhale as you allow your knees to gently fall to the floor while you pull your ankles gently towards you, straightening your spine. Release after 10 seconds. On the next inhale, drop your head towards your ankles. Do this a couple times, feeling the thighs and hips opening. This should get the blood and energy flowing in that area.Premature ejaculation cureHow to Stop Premature Ejaculation Natural Aphrodisiacs For Men
